A commercial building is a tool. It has to support the way you operate, make a good impression on the people who walk in and keep running costs under control. We build with all three in mind.
Built around how you operate
Before we talk about finishes, we want to understand the operation. How do goods, people and equipment move through the space? What has to keep running during construction? Where will you grow next?
At Lucid Corp's packaging facility on Westmore Drive in Etobicoke, the building was planned from the production line outward. Dedicated production areas support high-volume, automated PET packaging, and storage and distribution are laid out so goods flow from the line to the loading dock without doubling back.
Retail that stays open
Retail work often happens in buildings that never really close. At Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket we delivered a contemporary retail space, including the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems behind it, on schedule and within budget. Work like that takes careful phasing, clean hoarding and respect for the shoppers and tenants next door.
Running costs matter as much as build costs
The cheapest building to build isn't always the cheapest to own. We look at heating, cooling and lighting choices with the long-term costs in mind. At Lucid Corp, energy-efficient systems were part of keeping the facility affordable to run as the business grows.
Do you do commercial renovations or only new buildings?
Both. Our commercial work ranges from ground-up facilities to interior alterations and tenant improvements in existing buildings.
Can you work while our business stays open?
Yes, and we plan for it from day one. That usually means phasing, after-hours work for the noisiest tasks, dust and noise control, and a clear separation between the site and your staff or customers.
Where do you take on commercial projects?
We're based in Mississauga and work across the GTA and southern Ontario, including Toronto, Etobicoke, Newmarket and Burlington.
